Tommy Harvey
Executive Vice President

Tommy grew up in Foyil, Oklahoma. He graduated from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. He began his insurance career in personal lines, selling home and auto insurance. In 2010 Tommy was recruited by Brown & Brown to sell commercial lines. After five successful years as an insurance broker, he was promoted to sales manager. He successfully helped grow the agency and was promoted to Executive Vice President of Brown & Brown of Oklahoma, while continuing to personally manage many important accounts. Tommy has twice received Brown & Brown’s prestigious Tangle B Award and once its Top Gun Award. Tommy lives in Claremore with his wife and two boys, and enjoys working on his Ford Mustang. He participates in several non-profit events, and was proud to win a Mayes County Hope Fit Biz Executive competition.

William “Bill” Evans
Executive Vice President

Bill graduated from Collinsville HS, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Insurance from Oklahoma State University. Bill was an owner and manager at the Agency of Insurance Professional Inc. and helped the business flourish. The agency was purchased by Brown & Brown. Since then, he has served as profit center leader for Brown & Brown in the following locations: Pryor, Pinellas County, Houston, & Nashville.

He recently was honored to receive Brown & Brown Pryor lifetime achievement award. He enjoys serving Oklahoma customers and mentoring the Oklahoma staff. He has served on Boards for: First Priority Bank, Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma & Hope is Alive, Tulsa Oklahoma. He is also part of the Large Agent/Broker Council for Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, Inc. He has served on numerous advisor Councils including Hartford, CNA, Continental, Republic & Texas Mutual. He enjoys helping Sertoma and Boy Scouts of America.

Katie Gann
Accounting & Operations Leader

Katie started her career as an accounting assistant at Brown & Brown of Oklahoma in 2010. She completed her schooling through Rogers State University, and was able to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in May 2014. In June 2014, she took on the role of Accounting and Operations Leader for the NW Arkansas office while continuing her role as the assistant for the Oklahoma office. In January 2019, she took over the Accounting and Operations Leader role for the Oklahoma office. Katie and her husband Mike have 4 kids. When not in the office, Katie is spending time with her family.

Shelly Lawson, CIC
Commercial Lines & Tribal Department Manager

Shelly is the Commercial Lines/Tribal Department Manager at Brown & Brown.   She has worked in property and casualty insurance since 1986. She has been working for Brown & Brown since 1995, starting out in personal lines and then working in the workers compensation program and marketing department. She has completed the five-part Certified Insurance Counselor course and received her CIC designation in 2017. She also completed a five-part Certified Insurance Service Representative course and received her CISR designation in 1998. 

Angie Brannon
Team Resources Leader

Angie began her career as a Staff Accountant at Insurance Professionals Inc. (IPI) in Pryor, Oklahoma in 1983. This agency was later purchased by Brown & Brown in 2001. As well as accounting, she has worked as Personal Lines Manager, Tribal Program CSR, and Commercial Lines CSR. She became the Accounting and Operations leader in 1999 and continued this position until 2018. In January 2018, she decided to cut back on her responsibilities and stepped back to become the Team Resources Leader of the office and also handle all of the company payables. Angie grew up and attended school in Pryor, Oklahoma and was raised on a dairy farm northeast of town. She began working at IPI during her senior year of high school through a work-study program. She received an academic scholarship from Rogers State College in Claremore, Oklahoma and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in 1986. She then continued her education at Northeastern State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting. She married her husband Steve in 1989. They live on a small farm near the small town of Chouteau, twenty minutes from the office, and they have two boys who are now in their twenties. Her youngest son,Travis, is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and is a teacher and basketball coach in his hometown. Angie participates in Special Olympics with her oldest son, Kyle, as well as helping to host their annual Golf tournament for Special Olympics of Oklahoma. Angie’s hobbies include reading, traveling, boating and camping in their RV. She also volunteers for various events at St. Mark Catholic Church, including their annual Catholic Charities Coat Distribution.

Jennifer Brittain, GBA
Employee Benefits Team Leader

Jennifer Brittain has been a licensed life and health agent in the state of Oklahoma since 2000 and joined the Brown & Brown team in June 2008.  She graduated from Evangel University with a degree in English Education.  Her education and teaching experience provide the communication skills necessary to effectively educate employers and employees on all aspects of employee benefits. She has earned her Group Benefits Analyst (GBA) designation. Jennifer has been the Employee Benefits Team Leader in Oklahoma for 4 years. Jennifer has earned Brown & Brown’s Top Gun award twice and was initiated into the prestigious Champion’s Club in 2019.She has been a long time, active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters.  From 2014-18 she was the local and state legislative chair and became president of the Tulsa chapter in July 2019. Jennifer is also active in her community.  She has been the Pryor Area Chamber of Commerce Board Chairperson, Pryor Rotary Club President, Great Days of Service Food Drive Coordinator, and a Boys & Girls Club Mentor.

In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys quiet days on her farm with her husband, Houston, and is a competitor in the equine sport of dressage with her horse Dalto.

Chris Floyd, CIR, CRM
Vice President – Indian Nations Program

Chris Floyd has been in the insurance and risk management industry for over 22 years. With over 18 years of insurance management and consulting experience with Tribes and Tribal entities, he brings a proven ability to solving complex and unique tribal challenges with a focus on preserving the Tribe’s Sovereignty while protecting its assets. His techniques are customer-focused with a strong negotiating position for the customers he represents. Chris’ focus is on strategic partnerships by developing effective insurance and risk management programs tailored to the customers’ needs. Day to day he communicates with clients on all aspects of risk management and risk financing. Chris joined Brown & Brown Insurance in 2011. Chris is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Management (CRM) with studies in; Principles of Risk Management; Control of Risk; Financing of Risk; Analysis of Risk and Practice of Risk Management. Chris is an active and enrolled Citizen of the Shawnee Tribe.
